No real than you are

Every now and then a news story breaks which somehow sums up this confusing age.

This is one perfect example. While it would be nice to think that somewhere out at sea  a giant Lego boat is frantically searching for a missing crewman, it looks like the truth is somewhat more parochial. I don’t read Dutch but i’m guessing this guy is responsible.

Incidentally, non-Danish readers might be interested to learn that Lego is an abbreviation of the words ‘lege godt’, which translates as ‘play good’. Or maybe not.

The absence of either a “more” or “less” is quite honestly doing my head in! I’ll be awake hours tonight, ruminating about that. Gaah!

hehehe, had that conversation this morning with a colleague. it’s either genius wordsmithery or appalling English. Most probably the latter.

You’re right about Lego orginating from “Play well” or “Lege godt” but the funny thing is that the inventor of Lego didn’t realise that Lego means “to construct” (or something like that)in Latin. Just like Volvo means “to roll”
