Ground 69

Mark Jensen has a really nice post over at his site about the recent happenings in honour of Ungdomshuset.

There has been no fighting since it was knocked down. Instead, some of the more cerebral campaigners have organised some great little stunts.

Not going quietly!

Have you had the time to walk by the empty ground yet? It’s the saddest sight in all of Copenhagen…

I’ve been a couple of times now. It’s extremely sad. I used to live right up the road and that makes it even sadder for me somehow. Everything’s been so strange these past few weeks.

I don’t have much Danish so everything I hear comes through friends or what I see with my own eyes. In a way, that has really heightened the experience. Instead of everything being filtered through the newspapers of the TV, I am living it in a much more direct way.

However, my lack of Danish also means that I am not so aware of all the nuances and it’s harder to make really informed opinions. I’m off out now mate but we should continue this in person one day.

We should indeed – then I can fill you in on the nuances ๐Ÿ™‚

Write me an e-mail, and we could set something up…

By the way, I kinda stole your idea with the K2 theme for my own site – bope you don’t mind me stealing a bit…
