New Arcade Fire album reviewed

Pitchfork’s review of Neon Bible, the Arcade Fire’s second album, is worth a read.

It’s always difficult to stay in love with a band, especially one you like to think you knew about before the rest of the in-crowd.

I’m such a snob (though I’m working on it) that I instantly turn against anything or anyone who achieves mainstream appeal.

What does that say about me? Probably that I’m a bit of a twat.

Tom, you and me are the biggest twats known to man. But we’re also the nicest!
